Chelela Pass

Chelela Pass is a mountain pass is located at an elevation of 3988 M above sea level between Paro valley and Haa Valley. The Pass is known for being the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. You can expect narrow roads with sharp and winding turns on your drive to the pass that will eventually give way to the charming vista in front of you. Hundreds of prayer flags in a kaleidoscope of colours adorn the pass and it makes the perfect opportunity for a short photography break or to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace with a picnic on the pass.

Enjoy the view of Paro valley and Haa Valley on either side of the pass and on clear days you will be able to get a clear view of Mt Jumolhari (7314 M), the second highest mountain in Bhutan.
